About Me

I am a Medical Laboratory Technologist who lives near the beach in Southern California. I was born and raised in a small town near the coast of South Carolina, hence, I love the beach. I have a Certificate in Ministry to Women from The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, a BS in Medical Laboratory Technology from Augusta College, formerly known as The Medical College of Georgia and  I have an MSM in Healthcare Management from Troy University in Alabama.

​I started writing in junior high school after reading a friend's short story. I really enjoyed her story and thought I could do it, too. In English class, journals were required. Since my life was uneventful, I would make up stories to fill my journal. Based on her comments, my teacher believed my stories and I had to tell her they were made up.

Reading for me was escape. My mom was a devout Christian and we went to church four times a week. She was also overprotective so I wasn’t allowed to hang out with friends. Home, school, church were my life during the school year. 

 

During the summer, however, mom would take me with her when she visited family up north. Thus, my love of travel.
